Microsoft had released Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26120.4741 on the Dev Channel, some minor under-the-hood changes and bug fixes have been introduced. It is a part of the Windows 11 version 24H2 development cycle, and it is aimed to make the user experience better before its crucial release to the mass audience later this year.
Important Change and Fixes
Although this build does not feature any major new features, it brings the necessary optimization:
Taskbar and Start Menu Stability- Microsoft has put a known bug that was causing explorer.exe instability issues when opening the Start menu.
- File Explorer: New extensions and enhancements - File explorer performance improved when opening large directories.
Wi-Fi & Bluetooth Stability -- Fixed a bug which would cause disconnections.
- Gaming Performance Tweaks Improved stuttering in certain DirectX 12 games.
Known Issues
Like all Insider builds, there are things that are not fixed:
- Widgets Panel Lag- Delay as the panel is opened.
- Virtual Desktops Glitch Glitches : That occur infrequently when desktops reshape themselves without warning.
The Update
Dev Channel Insiders can also get Build 26120.4741 through the Settings > Windows Update. Microsoft wants its users to give feedback through Feedback Hub, which will pose to them an opportunity to fine-tune future releases.
