Honor just released their new MagicBook Pro 16 (2025) and boy is it good! This is their big jump into serious gaming laptops, and they're taking no prisoners.
The laptop has Intel's latest Core Ultra processors - you can opt for the Ultra 5 225H or go top-range with the Ultra 9 285H. But the surprise packet is the RTX 5070 graphics card with 8GB of GDDR7 RAM in the Hunter Edition - the first laptop anywhere to carry this card! With their Turbo X technology, this behemoth producing close to 150W of combined power, which is crazy for gaming and creative pursuits.
The screen is great too - 16 inches with 3K resolution and silky smooth 165Hz refresh rate. It's bright at 500 nits and won't destroy your eyes after long gaming sessions.
You either get 24GB or 32GB of insane fast RAM and a 1TB SSD that you can expand if you need to. And they somehow managed to put all this into a metal body that's only 17.9mm thick and weighs just 1.81kg!
The Hunter Edition is marked for hardcore gamers with that RTX 5070 and the new DLSS 4.0. Honor claims it's their quietest gaming laptop yet, even when you're pushing it to the limit.
The cherry on top? Price is surprisingly reasonable only! The entry model goes for about $894, and even the most specced-out Hunter Edition with the Ultra 9 and RTX 5070 comes in at just around $1,650. You can even get discount and find it as low as $1,343.
It also appears sleek - clean silver exterior, large trackpad, and full keyboard with numpad. Lots of ports and vents to ensure things stay cool.
Honor's actually going head to head with the big brands like Alienware and Acer with this laptop. Everyone on X is losing it about getting 3K display and RTX 5070 performance at under $900. If you're in the market for a laptop that can do gaming and creative work without bleeding your wallet, this could be the one no?
