Nothing sub-brand CMF has introduced their next smartwatch Watch 3 Pro, with a noticeable change in the design philosophy of the previous model. The cheaper 99-dollar gadget sacrifices customizability over the size of the display it shows, removing the trademark swapping bezels in favor of a bigger 1.43-inch OLED display.
Display Enhancement Takes the Center Stage
The biggest improvement seen in Watch 3 Pro is the increase in screen space since the watch has a 10 percent increase in the display area of the screen compared to that of Watch Pro 2 that comes with a 1.32-inch screen. This improvement gives more information to the view at a glance such that navigation and the consumption of the content is more intuitive on the wearable on the wrists.
Nonetheless, this leads to the loss of customization. Leave the swappable bezels that were used heavily to market its use in the last generation, the Watch 3 Pro eliminates this offering of customization to the consumer who can adjust the look of his or her watch. The Watch Pro 2 came up with numerous choice of bezuels with different colors such as orange, dark gray, ash gray and blue and the user could change the bezas between the flat and curved ones according to the occasion.
Improved Features of Performance
In addition to display variations, the Watch 3 Pro presents a number of technical advances. The device will have dual-band GPS, making it much more accurate in tracking, as Nothing describes as a proper step forward to its previous device. There is also an increase in the battery performance whereby the watch could last up to 13 days of normal usage a two day increment on the Watch Pro 2.
The watch replaces a four-channel heart-rate sensor with a redesigned model that delivers higher precision, and includes smart coaching features: AI-based feedback that is personal to the user. The Watch 3 Pro provides that with 131 different sports modes and extensive health tracking options, the Watch aims to retain the core concepts behind its wellness status tracking engagement, but it increases the display functionality.
Such strategic trade-off suggests the changing strategy of Nothing to customization and functionality in the competitive smartwatch market.
