The devices were released on July 10, 2025 globally, in a 'Fashion Next' launch event held in Dubai, and includes the Huawei Pura 80, Pura 80 Pro and Pura 80 Ultra. After first being introduced in China on June 11, 2025, the series is also plotting to tap into the markets of Latin America, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East, the launch of which will be accomplished in Malaysia on July 24, 2025, and South Africa on August 7, 2025. Pura 80 Pro+ is still only available to China. They have the Kirin 9020 chipset, but it is not yet officially announced, unlike the HarmonyOS 5, which is used in China and runs on the global models on EMUI 15.
Such outstanding hardware features as a 1-inch main camera, a multiple-lenses dual telephoto camera (3.7x and 10x focal lengths), and a 40MP ultra-wide lens make its Pura 80 Ultra the subject of praise by foreign media in terms of imaging characteristics. Another camera that comes with the Pura 80 Pro is the 1-inch 50MP main sensor and a 48MP macro telephoto lens. The battery capacity is standard on both models: 5170mAh with support for 100W (wired) and 80W (wireless charging), however, the global Ultra will have a smaller battery than the Chinese one (5700mAh). The series does not support 5G feature and does not have Google services in international markets, which can interfere with its competitiveness.
The Pura 80 Pro is listed at 12GB/512GB which will cost 1,099 and the Pura 80 Ultra with 16GB/512GB is sold at 1,499 in Europe but the Ultra will also cost AED 5,099 (~$1,400) in the UAE. The price of the base Pura 80 was not announced. There are pre-orders in a variety of countries with benefits, including Malaysia that offers gifts up to RM1,428. The release meshes with Huawei efforts to reinstate its international availability of smart phones despite U.S. penalties, after releasing the Mate XT in Malaysia earlier this year of 2025.
