Regarding connectivity, they both have USB-C ports (with DisplayPort compatibility), microSD card readers, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth, and normal audio jack.  An external GPU expansion of the Ally X model is also supported through XG Mobile to provide the higher-end graphical performance.

Potential Gaming and Potential Markets.

The ROG Xbox Ally is entering a competitive market of handhelds, with the Steam Deck and other PCs. According to the reviewers, the Ally X can dominate the overall performance regarding the AAA titles, due to the better chip and memory setup.  Its ability to upgrade (via M.2 SSD slots) might distinguish it compared to even more closed handhelds.

The expensive cost, especially in the case of Ally X, however, may restrict its usage among the mainstream Indian gamers who are used to less expensive console or mobile gaming. The failure/success will depend on the support of ASUS and other partners to local software, update of firmware, compatibility to games, and peripheral ecosystems.

With proper marketing and well-intended support, these ASUS handhelds can be used to trigger the development of PC gaming in India, where gamers will be able to carry high-end titles anywhere.
